Waiting in long, non-moving indoor lines is a source of stress and anxiety.
A study by the University of Sussex found that reading for just six minutes can help reduce stress. Based on this finding, Readlaxation Charts was created, featuring 6-minute reads for mental wellness.
Using excerpts from classic books, the layouts were designed to visually represent six minutes of reading. The charts were turned into large posters and installed in places where people spent hours waiting, including government service lines and vaccination centers.
